Here the same! In my case I would not call it a habit, but a necessity if you want to work hassle free. No matter how sexy others might look, sooner or later I ran into trouble or limitations that I just do not know from Reaper. No other DAW seems to run so stable, especially if I experiment with many "free" or commercial plugins. And if I really want to work with another software on the surface, I need Reaper at least as a "backend" or external host/bridge for all the plugins that cause headaches in the other environment. I used some kind of virtual audio (integrated in VSTforx)and midi cable to realize that. But, currently I experiment to do that with ReaStream. So far, it seems to be a very nice solution...
