Thanks guys. I really wanted to make it a newbies guide because I know how much I wanted one of them the first time I did work on a car! Hopefully it'll be useful. Cheers, John

Thanks Jod - I was wondering where that oil was coming from, now I know :) Thankfully it's a very minor leak, the car hardly seems to use any oil at all. It's funny though isn't it, I'm sure I've got an extra 20bhp just from changing the oil, car feels brilliant. Talk about the placebo effect :D

Good idea jod, sadly I'm not going to be able to get it on the rollers but I'm sure that'll make the difference. The VoC stickers in the loadbay windows must be worth another 5bhp each, no? :D

It might help when your changing the oil to fill the new filter with oil to reduct the time it takes to reach oil pressure.
