Hello Does anybody know what would cause the clutch on an S60 D5 to lose pressure completely - i.e. the pedal is sat on the floor? There was a bit of judder when cold a while ago, it told me that it needed brake fluid (and a service), and a bit of slip recently, but nothing major (!). Does this mean that I will definitley need a whole new clutch, or may it be something less expensive?

Don't know much about clutches (or anything really) but, clutch cable stretched or broken?

Next thing would be to have a good grovel about under the car to see if you can actually see anything wrong, leaking etc. Have someone in the car operate the clutch, having topped up the resevoir again, look listen etc.
