intermittent skips when recording

I am getting occasional skips when recording my band. I am using a mackie onyx blackbird firewire interface with an intel I5, 16gb ram,asrock mb. Windows 10 I am recording 8 tracks simultaneously. We have been recording our rehearsal. everything will sound fine for a few songs (on playback) and then suddenly there will be slight glitch. or skip. It is very momentary but it sounds like a small skip. What could be causing this

Latest driver of the Mackie is V.4.1. Maybe you should deinstall your driver and install the latest driver (WIN8) in compatibility mode on Win10. I don't think there is still support for these Interfaces, maybe you should start looking for a new Interface.
