Changd cambelt and it's squealing

On start up, the car was squealing but stopped when it was warmed up. I couldn't verify if the cambelt had been changed recently so I though that it was wise to do this. My local mechanic ordered a cambelt kit and replaced it. Now, on idle it's fine but squeals constantly over 1000rpm. Any ideas? I had assumed that the kit would consist of tensioners etc. but I haven't had a chance to call and ask him what was changed and why it squeals. Thanks, Shanny

could be tensioner, idler wheel, auxillary belt or even water pump. for piece of mind it would be best changing them all

First thing to do is remove the auxiliary drive belt run the engine and see if the noise goes.
