climate control failure

hi ,this my first post. I have the following problem.I had a flat battery,disconnected and re-charged, I then reconnected the battery. I then discover , to my horror, i have no power to the climate control module. I visited my local indy and they found they could not communicate with the unit.Suspect a new or replacement module will be required. Is it possible to replace with a used unit or will an original part be required? Any idea as to the cost of a replacement? Any help or advice would be gratefully recieved! dave volvo s60 t 2001 170000 ( stress free miles!!)

try resetting your car by leaving battery negative lead off overnight then perform a ECM reset

Volvo S60 2001 owner. Replaced my battery then reconnected only to find the Climate Control unit has no power. I have had diagnostics run on the car by two engineers (not Volvo specialists). Both have said there IS power going to the unit, but there is no visible sign the unit is recieving power at all. The unit does not even appear on the list of systems when the car systems main gateway system is interrogated via Volvo diagnostic software. I have tried 2 units to no avail. Can anyone help. Much appreaciated Volvo owner.
